Castle in the Spring

Leeds Castle looks simply fantastic in the spring, and this year is no exception. The grounds have a beautiful array of woodland spring flowers, blossom on the trees, and vast areas of daffodils around the castle moat.

I visited Leeds Castle yesterday, as I was asked to acquire some photos for any new printed material that the castle uses. It was a fantastic day weather wise, and with the autumnal colours starting to appear it was perfect.

Arlington Row

The picturesque Arlington Row cottages were built in 1380 as a monastic wool store. This was converted into a row of weavers cottages in the 17th century. The cloth produced there was sent to Arlington Mill on the other side of Rack Isle.

Rosham Gardens and Stately Home was a truely magical place, we happened to visit just when the sun was warming up the dew on the ground, causing beams of light through the trees.

I visited Chartwell today, the family home of Sir Winston Churchill. The gardens were starting to show the signs of spring with daffodils appearing and even some clear blue skies emerging.
